First few days...

WEELLLLL... I have been in Mexico for a day and a half now. It's been full of colorful landscapes, delicious foods, friendly faces and lots of ESPANIOL. I have a low battery on my lap top at the moment but I thought I would write you to give you a update of the excitement thus far! Day 1: We arrived in Mexico in three parts. Diego arrived in the MEX airport at 7am tuesday morning, Toby arrived at 4:30pm and Brettin, Zane, Tiffany and I arrived at 4:45pm. After taking two airport-vans to the McClues residencee, we rested for a few minutes before enjoying authentic Mexican tacos. The boys are all staying with a family from the Tierra Firme church, about 10 minutes from the McClues where the rest of us are staying. Day 2: We woke up and ate breakfast together as a team with Sean, Jeni, Sarah and Philip. After having a devotional and discussing a few orientation topics we went out for lunch and also viewed a few apartments for rent. Later on we went to small group in Coyoacan (sp?) at the house where the boys are staying. It was a good lesson and from what I could understand it had very good feedback as well :). That is all I have for you at this moment... of course, It's only day 2. I really do hope to post a video or two up here in the next week or so. Hopefully before Spanish classes start. Spanish classes will only be for about 3 weeks... but very intense. Keep this in your prayers. Safety and guidance in outreach is important... and learning the language will certainly create a safer environment for me and my team mates! I love you all and thank you for your support! God bless! -Tabbi

Home... for now

Hello everyone!

This is my first of many entries in this blog... The date is May 18, 2008 and I am about to move to Tlalpan, Mexico. I have six team mates and 2 coordinators: Toby, Chutney, Diego, Zane, Brettin, Tiffany, and Sean and Jeni. We are very excited about this mission work. Some of you may know that we once were the Leon, Mexico team... but because of some difficulties we decided to transfer to Tlalpan. It's not everyday that a team is able to choose their own field... God has blessed us enormously!

I will continue to keep you up to date... thank you for your time!!
